Joenee was born and raised in Hardin County and she along with her husband, Brian, and their two sons, Griffin and Gannon, have made their home in Bellefontaine. She has worked in banking for twenty-five years.  Her career started in Columbus, Ohio with a Credit Union working as a teller and assistant manager.  She expanded her career with a regional bank working with trust accounts and the finance department for the mortgage division.  After starting their family, they moved closer to home and she decided to work with a community bank where she spent the last 18 years serving clients in the loan department as the manager, branch manager, business development, consumer lender, mortgage lender and finally as a commercial lender helping businesses grow in the community she loves.

She is excited to join Discovery Riders and bring her enthusiasm for community to the team.

Joenee serves as Chairman of the Board for Mary Rutan Hospital, as board member for the Mary Rutan Health Association, the Mary Rutan Foundation, the Logan County Cancer Society, the Logan County Chamber, as Chairman of the Logan County Chamber Finance Committee, and serves on the board of Rotary of Bellefontaine.  She is past graduate of the Hardin County and Union County Leadership programs. In 2013, she graduated from the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wisconsin.

As Executive Director, I will apply my many years of experience working in the business community and the knowledge I have gained from relationships I have made to increase the awareness of the Discovery Riders programs to reach more students and our fundraising efforts. All my life I have found enjoyment working with others to help them accomplish their dreams.  I look forward to working with others in a new capacity helping them see their potential- and having them change my life as well.
